Yin Yoga

Yin practice is slow, steady and often stationary, with a sense of core softness and surrender. The postures are held for a period of time (5 minutes or longer), working on the connective tissues (ligaments, bones, joints, fascia, etc.) of the body in effort to allow the muscle tissue to relax. This enables Qi (Chi) to flow through the body. The poses were developed to correlate with the Chinese meridian system, and counterbalance yang or active energy of our days.
